O’Reilly’s Rainforest Mountain Bowers Resort

In August 2008, Blades delivered 48 luxury eco cabins, a new conference facility and day spa at the O’Reilly’s Rainforest Resort at Lamington National Park.

Undertaking construction at the world heritage listed national park added to the complexity of the approval process, as Blades sought assessment from the Commonwealth Department of Environment and secondary approvals from the State and Local Government. The construction site also required extensive civil works due to its remote location and position on the side of a mountain. Through every step of the way, the experience and skill of the Blades project team allowed the project to progress and meet all required approvals.

Ongoing monitoring and protection of the surrounding wildlife and rainforest was top of mind for Blades, and ensured the team delivered a superb rainforest retreat for families to enjoy.
